Making Our Way - Exhibition in Wells Cathedral
The 1100 anniversary celebrations got off to an inspiring start with an exhibition of work by children and young people in the Diocese.
The theme, "Making our Way", was a reflection on the past and present and a look towards the future. Exhibits were contributed by children and young people from schools and church groups in the Diocese. There were paintings, photographs, sculptures, poems, prose, PowerPoint presentations, a film and not to mention three clocks to demonstrate the passing of time - one of which actually kept to time too!
The exhibition demonstrated the wealth of talent among children in our Diocese.
Held in the empty Cathedral nave from Tuesday 27th to Thursday 29th January, the exhibition was then moved to the Chapter House until February 6th.
"People who criticise our children and young people should come and look at this exhibition," was one comment in the visitors book.
